About me
Prior to founding Bardes Consulting, I worked in the careers service, the telecoms industry and the chemical sciences. I have worked in the corporate, public and not-for-profit sectors and have experience managing projects across Europe, Middle East and Africa, and designing and delivering workshops in the UK, France and China.
With experience in fast changing organisational environments, I have developed a particular interest in how we can support people to manage their careers where change is a constant feature.
While much of my work has been in science and technology sectors, I have also worked in higher education, both as a Business Mentor with undergraduates, and as a Visiting Speaker on the i-Teams Programme at the University of Cambridge, The University of East Anglia, and the University of Essex.
In addition to my work in organisations, I have trained in Humanistic Psychology, with a particular focus on Gestalt and Somatic Psychology, and I draw on this training to deepen my knowledge of models of motivation, self-awareness and interpersonal communication skills that form the basis of much current Management Development practice.
I hold a degree in Social Anthropology and Development Studies from the University of Sussex and a Masters in Human Resource Management and Development from Westminster Business School.
I am credentialed with the International Coach Federation as an Associate Certified Coach. I am also an Accredited and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
